Health – Run For Your Life

What does it mean when the family doctor say you are healthy?

What does it mean when the psychologist say you are healthy?

What does it mean when you say I am healthy?

Inevitably, all the answers will have three different shades of definition.

The family doctor’s response will focus primarily on the mechanic of nuts and bolts in the realm of the human physiology.

The psychologist’s observation will compose of the organic assessment of the human psychology – the mind.

The person assessment will be the mixed shades of the family doctor and the psychologist depending on quality of the person intimate relationship with himself/herself.

You are the only person in this world truly know your health. You will have the opportunity to determine the exact last second of your existence – there is not a second person in this world who has this intimate knowledge.

In the Game of Life the fundamental metric for measuring the health of the player is the longevity – the longer the participant lives in the game the greater probability that his/her potential is expressed and scored big with humanity.

So with longevity is the key performance indicator for the achievement of the ultimate health, what is the best game plan for execution?

The fundamental framework for the attainment of the proper health for any anyone is being active and engage.

Unless you have been dealt with a debilitating condition similar to Professor Stephen Hawking, being mobile is a requirement for mechanical skeleton the human species – which have been evolved since day of the single-cell organism.

Dynamism is the hard-line that distinguished the human from the rock, the organic from the inorganic species – the alive from the death.

For hundred thousands of years, the human ancestors have to invest a hefty portion of day light in search for food source – walking and running after food source in the range of 10 km to 15 km (6.21 miles – 9.32 miles) is normal daily range.

Most of us, especially in highly developed countries, our food source is 10 feet to 30 feet away – the refrigerator.

Although the brain is in charge of the human mechanical movement toward food source when the hunger loop is triggered – it preferred the food source one inch away as appose to ten miles.

It is the organic law of conservation – minimizing the expenditure!

The prehistoric and unconscious drive to meet the fulfillment of hunger is outdated and worse of – detrimental to one’s health and in turn longevity.

The health discussion so far has been focused on food source, but mechanical movement is the baseline requirement for all basic primordial needs – food, water, mate and safety.

As of the 21st century, the majority of the world citizens are benefiting from the advancement of technologies – food and water source are practically an arm length away.

The abundant food and water source led to the explosive multiplication of the population – the majority of the successful mating connections are well within the visual distance.

With the exceptions of the few war ravaging areas, most of people around the world do not run and find safety from danger in years.

Most brains weighed approximate 3 pounds, but it consumed 25 percents of the entire calories intake – it is one powerful organ.

For hundred thousands of years, the mechanical movement about the environment is the primary source of stimulation the brain received behind the locked and dark skull through the sensory inputs system.

A healthy and growing brain is the engaged brain!

The modern day living has virtually eliminated the rich and exploratory stimulation the brain has accustomed to receive from the movement about of the external environment.

The huge void of the old fashion stimulation through sensory inputs via movement is replaced with the modern day brain addictions – drugs, alcohols, high consumption lifestyles and the explosion of personal gadgets and online social platforms.

It should be made clear here that the brain can be made to be engaged with all externalities. However, many will have the addictive property that does not promote the healthy brain in the long run.

The litmus test of a good candidate for the brain is the one that is vetted through all the five sensory inputs sight, sound, smell, hear, touch and the sixth sense of instinct – located by the mechanical movement through the external environment.

By designed, the human species is an exploratory kind. It could be argued that as a civilization, we have advanced so much that mechanical movement through the environment is an outdated mechanism for brain stimulation.

Instead, it is the higher learning of exploratory form is needed to raise the entire species to the next level of advanced civilization – where the mechanical physiology of the human species becomes the vestige reminder of the past.

There is a shade of truth to the state of advancement of the entire civilization as of the first quarter of the 21st century. However, it is only 3 and ½ centuries since the start of the British industrial revolution in the mid 17th century.

The old way of hunting and gathering, the ritual of mating and the perception of danger are virtually eliminated from the outside external environment.

Yet, the internal brain and body built from the genetic past – it is continued to prepare for the ghost of the ancient.

The human bio-mechanical physiology in its current state is the resulted of four million years of evolution – as a mean of adaptation to the changing environment.

Less than five percents of the current population of 7.7 billion, as of 2019, is successfully adapted to the new world. They lived to the ripe old age with plenty of food source, mate and safety – without paying a heavy toll to the mind and the body.

Three hundred and fifty years is too short of time for any efficacy of adaptation through natural selection.

The scientific community, especially in the area of genetic manipulation, is perhaps a possibility of speeding up the evolution process – albeit a far-off endeavor.

Until then, the old fashion game plan of moving through the external environment and engage the brain with the sensory inputs will keep everyone strong and healthy.

Get moving and be engaged to hold on to our precious existence!

Let’s play the game of life!
